Michael Maxwell

Senior Project Manager

Michael is a Senior Project Manager at Sharpe Project Developments, with more than 45 years of experience in real estate development and construction. He is responsible for managing major built-to-suit projects, leading site plan approvals, and managing major interior renovation projects.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Geography from the University of Texas and a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia. Michael has also managed the restoration of historic properties, redevelopment of multifamily and condominium communities, and the development of a 200-acre business park featuring over 2 million square feet of office, retail, and industrial space. His portfolio also includes laboratory, research, and commercial facilities. Michael has served as Professor and Director of Nova Southeastern University’s MS in Real Estate Development program and taught graduate real estate courses at Florida International University and the Universidad Autónoma de Juárez in Mexico. He is an active industry leader, having held key roles with the Urban Land Institute and NAIOP, and currently chairs the City of Coral Gables Historic Preservation Board.

Outside of work, Michael is passionate about historic preservation and mentoring emerging professionals in the industry.
