Michael Maxwell

Senior Project Manager

Michael Maxwell has over 45 years of experience as an owner’s representative and project manager. Trained as an architect and planner at the University of Texas, and University of Virginia, Michael has led the construction and renovation of diverse buildings and projects, from the restoration of historic properties to the ground-up development of a 200-acre business park and over 2 million square feet of office, retail, and industrial spaces.

Michael is a recognized expert in building renovation, with experience in multifamily, commercial, and research facility projects. He led Nova Southeastern University’s MS in Real Estate Development, growing it into a respected program, and has taught graduate real estate courses at institutions in Mexico and Florida.

Professionally, Michael was a leader in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) as a co-vice chair of ULI’s 2008 National Fall Conference, and at NAIOP, where he served as Chair of Professional Education in 2016 and 2017 and was honored as a Distinguished Fellow from 2011 to 2015. Michael currently chairs the City of Coral Gables Historic Preservation Board.
