Sharpe Project Developments managed the development of Pelican Harbor Seabird Station’s new 2.5-acre wildlife rehabilitation and education facility in Miami, FL. The completed campus includes an 8,300-square-foot education and medical building, along with several animal exhibits. As Owner’s Representative, SPD oversaw development and coordinated with the project team to support the organization’s mission and operational needs.

Founded in 1980 to care for injured brown pelicans, Pelican Harbor Seabird Station has grown into an internationally recognized center for seabird rehabilitation, caring for nearly 2,500 patients annually. Beyond rehabilitation, the organization provides educational programs to local schools, assists municipalities and residents with human-wildlife conflicts, and partners on research efforts to protect wildlife. The new facility marks an important milestone, providing a dedicated setting to advance wildlife care, education, and conservation.
